A Baccarat hand
The Banker will deal the player two face-up cards and deal themselves two-face up cards.

The goal of Baccarat is simple: guess which hand out of two – the Banker’s hand and the player’s hand – will win. Neither hand can exceed 3 cards. A winning hand has the highest point total out of a possible 9.

BACCARAT RULES
Baccarat has very simple but specific rules:
SCORING
Cards numbered from 2-9 are worth their face value
Face cards & 10s are worth 0 points
Aces are worth 1 point
SCORING A HAND
Once the points value reaches a double digit, the second digit will automatically become the value of the hand.
With this rule, a hand of 10 is worth 0, a hand of 11 is worth 1, a hand of 12 is worth 2, and so on. After the total points reach 10, simply drop the first digit and that is the score of the hand.
A hand that is split as 9 and 6 would add up to 15, and therefore has a point value of 5.
THIRD CARD RULE FOR PLAYERS
Baccarat rules call for the player to always go first. The Banker's hand depends on the player's hand. Here are the rules:
THIRD CARD RULE FOR THE BANKER
When the Banker's forst two cards total:
Rule 1
If the player's hand total is a total of 8 or 9, it's a natural win and no additional cards will be drawn. The player will stand.
Rule 2
The player will always stand on a point total of 6 or 7
Rule 3
On any total from 0 to 5, the player draws a third card - unless the banker has a natural 8 or 9. In that case, the Banker wins, and there are no additional cards drawn.
